Last week I talked about using RSS to syndicate your inventory of listings or products. I also touched on differences between subscriber (customized) and non-subscriber (basic) galleries and had a number of users ask me to explain the differences and how to go about customizing your gallery.
The Basic Gallery is available to users of vFlyer Personal (free version). Once a user becomes a subscriber, however, they are automatically upgrade to a Customized Gallery. Customized galleries have the following features and benefits:
- No advertising
- Ability to customize your gallery’s look-and-feel
(see Account » Profile » Gallery Theme) - Ability to add Navigation and Links in your header and footer
(see Account » Links)
Both types of galleries allow you to:
- Display and list all your flyers
- Include your company information, photo and logo
(See Account » Photos & Logos) - Access flyers as an RSS Feed
Our professional services organization has also built and implemented custom component gallery pages (See Example) that online sellers can host on their own websites. Component galleries are great because integration is easy and requires a simple simply copying and pasting a snippet of HTML and Javascript code!

Component gallery pages have the adding benefits of:
- Custom banners and headers
- Custom look-and-feel that matches your website
- Integrated as part of your website
- Ability to search by location or price range
- Ability to sort by date posted, price or title
Anyone interested in component gallery pages should contact your professional services organization (PSO) at: sales@vflyer.com
